Lovely neighborhood but hate the poor management here. No camera in the mailroom and the package issues is always insane. Recently, whole packages in the mailroom were ransacked. If there isn’t any improvement on the management, I will think to move out and find another property in this neighborhood.

We lived here for a year and half and had a great experience till recently. Love the neighborhood and the proximity to downtown San Mateo. Had also recommended the place to a bunch of our friends. The maintenance staff is also great. Only issue we faced was post move out where we were treated very unprofessionally. We were slapped with a bunch of random charges post move out despite us doing a professional cleaning . Soon after they made those charges they started to bombard us with a bunch of emails threatening to transfer our case to collections that too for $140. Really disheartening about this experience.

While looking for a 1 bedroom apartment, Aylet was great in giving us a tour!! Really friendly and knowledgeable about the property. Unfortunately it was out of our budget but we would definitely rent here!!

I lived on the first floor, you can open heater as much as u can, it will be always cold. Bill for pge more 300 , and never heats the home. Moving there was worst decision, I was happy to move out from that place

We’ve lived here since the start of the pandemic and it’s been great. Maintenance is super fast and helpful. Shout out to Fermin!

If you have toddlers make sure your child’s room doesn’t have the floor to ceiling windows. Close to Central Park, the Main library, and downtown.

I agree with the package theft issue though. We’ve had more packages than we can count stolen from the mailroom. One was irreplaceable. This needs to get resolved asap. It’s been more than a year and the issue keeps getting worse. Only reason I’m giving a 3 star review.

The community here at west 5 Ave is such a joy to my family. We love that our dog can run free in our dog park. But do wish our pool 🏊‍♀️ would stay warm.

I got my packages stolen multiple times.
And.. they do have CCTV but it never actually helped me get back the packages. Other than that, good affordable apartment.
