Muy lindo apartahotel, cómodo, limpio y silencioso, no me gustó el barrio, no es la mejor zona de Downtown, si está cerca de muchos comercios y a pocas cuadras del metro y paradas de buses

The hotel could be very nice, however it looks like management has lost interest and doesn’t really care.
Communication has been quite bad. My reservation confirmation advised that I would have received check in information around 24 hour before my arrival. Since there had been no communication, before setting off for the hotel I tried to ring them. No one ever picked up the phone despite several attempts. After a long drive, we arrived at the hotel and could not get in as we didn’t have the access codes (no one is present at the hotel). Tried to ring again, still no answer. We finally managed to make contact via email.
The place wasn’t very clean, there was hair on the toilet, stains on the chairs and even on the curtains. Half of the sockets in the room didn’t work and half of the lights didn’t turn on. Since checking-in was such a struggle, I wasn’t ready to go through the communication ordeal again and decided to live with it.
The kitchenette lacked even the most basic items (we had one knife, two forks, and one spoon).
Parking was nice, if you decide to stay at this hotel I would highly recommended paying the extra for parking.
The area is okay, however if you are traveling from Europe or another developed country and have not travelled extensively you may feel uneasy walking around.
DTLA has a bad drug and homelessness issue and the area shows it. We heard gunshots on the first night, however not near the property. Lots of food options around and the area is well connected.

This was a nice place to stay at and in the middle of everything in LA. I'll make this clear- you can't beat it for the price.

The location is not touristy and you are in a neighborhood in Westlake, but proximity to things to do is good enough in this area. You are close enough to Little Tokyo, K-Town and a short drive away from places like Glendale and Burbank. There is a big Guatemalan community and the food around this area is great, but it is a bit rough around the edges and you should prepare for that if you're not used to LA.

I enjoyed the room we were in, the kitchenette in our room and the kitchen outside was good. Wifi was decent as well. The walls were kind of thin but people respected quiet hours which was nice.

One thing I'd warn about is that the owner could work on their responsiveness when a concern is brought up. In my experience they were very hands off. Even replying a bit more and letting people know if something can't be fixed would be good, just to know. If improved, it would be a 4.5 star experience.

The first issue was a bit annoying but not a big deal- our main light was flickering. We told the owner, but no response. We brushed it off given there's other lights in the room we could use.

Additionally, the parking (paid $10/day) was great & secure. The thing that was the most unfortunate is that there was an electric car charger in the lot. It would've been great to use it, but it never worked and other people who had electric cars tried it with no avail. When we told the owner they replied that they'd send maintenance, but it never happened and we weren't able to use this amenity. Instead we had to go through the hassle of driving to a random shopping center instead of using something that could've made our trip just a bit more easy.

Don't be deceived and perceived by how "cheap" this hotel is. You have to gamble if the front gate will work with the code and if the hotel will ever give you a number to enter your room or even a room number after booking your hotel.

The walls are thin, the hotel doesn't take care of the sidewalk so there is trash everywhere, and the service is so bad it's not worth it.

Save yourself the trouble and book at a better hotel that has concierge and a lobby. You deserve it.

Stayed here once and absolutely loved it, booking it again for a future stay this summer! The location is definitely authentic LA, but the actual hotel is wonderful and very secure. So clean, and pretty, I love the outdoor seating area upstairs. The rooms are so comfortable, clean and cozy. The housekeeper was so sweet to hold onto our luggage until we could check in, and the owner/operator is easy to get a hold of if needed. I cannot recommend this place enough! I'm so excited to stay here again!

So the room is really lovely, all new and stylishly designed. The kitchenette is a great touch, and there is one huge shared kitchen within the building too. Two great little balconies for outdoor space. The building itself is lovingly renovated and stylish. The location is a bit rough around the edges - I saw someone using meth outside the front gate, but no one threatened us. The relatively cheap price - I think - reflects the somewhat rougher area it is located.
