We stayed in the Desert Studio (the one closest to the street) and it was okay. It is very conveniently located next to the beach and a few shopping centers. There are plates, bowls, pots, a pan, and a few utensils in the kitchen but it’s definitely just the basics. One of the burners on the stove wasn’t working, and there were ants on the countertop the entire stay. The noise from the street is a lot in the mornings and because there’s no curtains on the top part of the windows, we were forced to wake up earlier than we wanted because the room got so bright. It wasn’t the best but also wasn’t the worst either. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, I don’t think it’s worth the price.

Pros: Nice place to stay near the ocean. Relatively quiet. Bed was comfortable and the home stayed cool despite hot temperatures outside.
Cons: The kitchen was pretty lacking and minimally stocked... including one tiny, beat-up cutting board. There were only drops of dish soap left in the container when we arrived and when we asked the host for more, we were ignored. We were also grossed out by someone's dirty gym clothes left outside the shower when we arrived. Unfortunately the price we paid for this place did not seem to hold its value with these issues.

Had a wonderful staycation with my husband at the Anchor Inn Pacifica. Everything was in walking distance, which made ot very convenient. Steps from the beach, where we took in the morning sunrise and had breakfast at a local coffee shop. I will definitely frequent this establishment again.

Great location near the beach, a grocery store and coffee shop. The area seemed safe enough, which is why we stayed in Pacifica as opposed to SF. Only complaint is that there were no sheets provided for the pullout couches. The sheets should be provided in the closet or something, we did not think to request any. Ended up using the sheet from the queen bed to put on the pullout bed. Not great. Overall the condos were very nice though.

My husband and I loved Anchor Inn. It’s clean and modern. The Coastal Cottage is the one at the top of the drive with a terrific view. It also has a heated bathroom floor, rain shower and cute tiny appliances with a quick hot water heater. The staff was on it with what we needed. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach and shops. There is light coming in at night so if you’re sensitive, bring your sleep mask. Also the bed was squeaky. It woke us up a few times the first night but we got used to that.

The Anchor Inn Woods Suite is an amazing "tiny house" to stay in that I kinda want to keep it my secret, but alas I am sharing so others can share in the joy. Minimalist design but super comfy, SUPER CLEAN feeling and well kept, convenient but quiet. Ella is also easy and wonderful to deal with and her care comes through once you arrive at the Anchor Inn. It really feels like "home" so I was sad to leave. I would love to come back here again and again.||||LOCATION: Just around the corner from the main road. Less than 5 minute walk to the nearby strip mall with easy access to the beach. Great restaurants and amazing coffee shop (Soul Grind yum!) on the walk to the beach or even across/up the street. Also easy drive down to Half Moon Bay if you choose to indulge in Sam's Chowder House...||||SPACE: separate bedroom (queen bed, a little soft) with door, kitchen with bar stools (kitchen was stocked with dining and dishwashing stuff and I think some basic spices), living room with comfy seating and coffee table, balcony (no outdoor furniture). Super clean hard floors with rugs in different spots to warm up the place. Finishes are beautiful and very new feeling. It might feel a little tight with 4 people but I can see how you really can sleep 4 fairly comfortably if you wanted to (2 in the queen bed and 2 on the pullout couch)||||PARKING: drive up the hill right up next to your front door (uncovered); each tiny house has a spot for a car right next to its front door. Once you park, you don't really need to drive if you're just hanging around town.||||VIEW: the top house has a view of the water but the Woods Suite (second from the bottom) does not - it looks out at the park across the street but private enough because it's the second house up the hill. The first house has windows right to the sidewalk so might be less private but it's still only fronting the side road (e.g., not Route 1)||||OTHER: no lobby, no check-in (electronic coded locks), no shared space/air with anyone else - it is literally a standalone house! ||||It's listed on a variety of sites but you can go direct to them and it's super easy

We stayed at the Anchor Inn in Pacifica just over a year ago; scheduled for five days. On paper, it all sounded good: newly built, separate 'cottages' close to town. This is our experience: we left after 3 days because:||The floors are cement; radiant heat in the bathroom only. No screens on the windows, so you can't open any window and let fresh air in without bugs. The TV in living room is mounted on the ceiling; you have to lean extremely far back on the sofa to view it, cranking your neck. Sow bugs came in and were crawling around on the cement floor. The stools at the kitchen counter had no back support and were uncomfortable.||At 2:00 am, a large party of drunk young folks were yelling, rolling around on their driveway and making a huge ruckus next door. The cottages are separated by about 20 ft. I went out and asked them to quiet down; they said they would, they didn't. ||Next door is a large commercial yard with many large trucks; a generator in the yard made a continuous loud noise all night long, without stopping; beeping back-up and lights; very noisy, day and night.||If you are a person who enjoys peace and quiet, I say avoid this place. We left early and were told by management (off-site) that they would possibly refund the days we lost (at $600.00 per night) but of course we never heard from them again.||I hope this info forewarns others as to the actual situation of this 'new' cottage. Yes, it is close to town and also has a well-equipped kitchen, but that is as far as the amenities go. Comfortable it is not, unless you are a 21-year old with friends looking for a party house.|

I am not one to typically write reviews. But there were something I had a problem with here. While these may not be deal breakers for everyone, a few things stood out to me based on the price you pay. First the oven didn’t work. This was supposed to be a fully working kitchen and we planned to cook but were unable to. Second I know Pacifica is a cool temp place but maybe have a fan available. The place was very stuffy and I opened windows but without screens bugs and started to trickle in. I’m sure most would be fine with this but a fan as an option would be nice. Third, the hall closet had a shelf at one point but looked to be broken and sitting on the floor along with everything else inside the closet including the iron. Also, and not a deal breaker, but the TV in the living room was mounted insanely high, there’s no reason for it to even be there if it’s going to be so high. And one more thing, but when I pay this much for a room a little welcoming pack would be nice, maybe a bottle water, or something, just as an added touch. We travel a lot so for me I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
