Blair house Inn was just magical! We so enjoyed our long weekend in Mendocino. Helen was so warm and hospitable and made us feel right at home! The room was comfortable and cozy during the colder nights, and we slept so well during our stay. It’s perfectly located in the little village, as you’re just steps away from the charming main street through town, which has some great shopping (Mendocino Tea Co, Tangents, Slug sister vintage, and The Study Room were my particular favorites). We loved the local cuisine as well, especially Trillium, Beaujolais, and the Little River Inn for dinner, and the Good Life cafe for lunch and breakfasts. |Absolutely wonderful weekend - we will be back!!

I really enjoyed staying at the Blair House Inn. We stayed in the Blair House Cottage which is located just behind the main house because the room allows pets. Our pet was the first cat to stay there. The cottage is a barn stable converted into a studio with a complete kitchen. The website says it has a stove top, but is actually a full kitchen range with an oven. Everything is complete with cookware, dishes and utensils. The bed is super comfy and warm. The bathroom is complete with a bathroom heater, shower, and a sink. Helen was very accommodating to our needs and even provided us with a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay from one of the local wineries. The inn is literally located a block away from the village shopping, eateries, and the amazing Mendocino bluffs, a beautiful and easy scenic hike, where you can watch the sunset into the Pacific Ocean which I recommend doing. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Helen for being such a great host! We’ll see you again!

Lovely old house with a great history, and some notoriety for being featured in Murder She Wrote. Helen the Innkeeper is a sweetheart. The place is so clean and quiet too. It was nice to wake up to a foggy seaside view. Very romantic! It was great to wander out to all the shops, restaurants and coastline.

Da fan della serie non potevamo non soggiornare in questa splendida dimora nel cuore di "Cabot Cove".
La casa e le stanze sono molto belle e ben tenute, il letto molto confortevole. La signora che ci ha accolti è stata molto gentile e ci ha messo anche i fiori freschi in camera.

My husband and I stayed at Blair House on our road trip from Seattle to San Diego and we loved it so much we are staying at Blair House on our way back.|Helen, was extremely hospitable, and was available whenever we had a question, or needed help, or suggestions. She could not have been a more delightful host!|The house is impeccable and extremely beautiful! The location is excellent. Everything within walking distance. Mendocino is a wonderful town. The people are super friendly and the views are incredible!

We loved the Blair House Inn! A must to experience, especially for fans of Murder She Wrote. We stayed in the Blair Cottage. The cottage is in the back of the property, we parked right next to it. The cottage is adorable! It has a full kitchen and all the necessary amenities. The proprietor was lovely, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. It is a short walk into town, we enjoyed dinner and a walk to the ice cream shop. Mendocino is a charming town and the Blair House Inn is a perfect fit for a wonderful getaway!

We have stayed in this Inn many times and always look forward to returning. So peaceful and quiet you can hear the sound of the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed the changing weather sitting in wing back chairs in our warm perch in Jessica’s suite above the village with an ocean view. We walked to the Mendocino community theatre one night after a delicious dinner. Being close to everything, it was great to leave the car, walk to the headlands and the shops. Helen is a wonderful hostess who knows the community well and suggested many areas to explore.

The "Family" was husband and wife. We discovered Blair House only after our previously favorite main street hotel stuck us in a tiny, dank, and dark room that we refused. Blair House was our next contact and we were so delighted we stayed an extra night. Innkeeper Helen was attentive, friendly, and helpful, besides providing spotless rooms with lofty down beds and pillows, even spotlessly clean windows. This is a perfectly lovely place to spend a night or a week.
