I stay at hotels all the time and I've got to say this one was absolutely horrible. It's actually going to keep me from staying at extended stays in the future. The elevator didn't work. They called me a couple days beforehand to make sure I still wanted to reserve. There said they could get none of the second floor. I said that was fine. They told me they were going to work on it. Day three of me being there. I asked the lobby is the elevator fixed yet and he said no and I said has it ever been and he just left. I said okay so it's that kind of place. Staff just left the dirty laundry all up and down the halls in the stairways and things like that because they have no means to bring dirty towels or clean towels up to any of the rooms. Which also means you have to go to the lobbying request everything yourself or shampoos, conditioners, soaps, towels or anything. They will not bring them to your room for you. Which brings me to another point is they offer ed no cleaning service during the week because I mean come on who wants to do that I guess. And to top it all off I was told there was a free breakfast which there was but and to by surprise it was breakfast bars and teeny muffins and that was it. No eggs, no nothing and the coffee in the lobby was super watered down and horrible everyday. Staff was not friendly. Was not greeting. Was not very accommodating. Everybody seemed to care less about anything at this location. Like I said I probably stay at hotels 2 weeks out of every month and this was my first time giving extended. Stays a try and this will be my last.

GO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU WILL BE HAPPIER!

My kids and I had just lost our home and needed a place to stay while we hunted for our new home. We stayed here for about 3 months and it was incredible. I ended up learning everyone's names because the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and feels very new. The housekeepers Delia and Minerva are very thorough and always helpful with a smile. The front desk staff were so patient especially Ryan and Melanie who were very kind and answered every question and request we had - they always had supplies for us, no matter how many times we asked - toilet paper, keys (so many keys! lol because we kept losing them), towels and beddings. The managers Samantha and Melanie were always understanding and helpful. Best of all was the MVP, the maintenance man, NOEL, the most hardworking, diligent staff member - he can fix anything. If anything broke or wasn't working, he would show up very quickly and just get it fixed. He was kind, thoughtful, considerate and just really good at what he does. One of the best humans I have ever met. Give him all the awards and pay raises! I loved the gym, being able to cook, the large room with enough shelving and space for our things, the electric vehicle charging stations and spaces for bikes. And a surprise bonus, you get the best views of the sunset! This is the best extended stay anywhere. I have lived on 3 continents and travelled around the world and stayed at several hotels around the world and the USA, this is one of my favorite stays. Even though we were at this Extended Stay during one of the most challenging times of our lives, the warm friendly and helpful staff made us feel like family and I will never forget their kindness which really helped us feel at home. We really love this crew and location!

I have been staying here for several months and have always thought that Esmeralda was the general manager. The way she has been consistently attentive to the facility and it's guests I was sure that was her position. She is always ready to resolve any concerns I have had and has shown to be quick about gettings concerns resolved with surprising follow up.| I had owned a small corporation with 13 employees for about 30 years, so I have an eye for people with certain skill sets.||P. We stayed here for three nights because it was about $100 cheaper than the next available option. It wasn't terrible, but we would for sure pick somewhere else next time. The beds were obviously very inexpensive and pretty uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear the people next door getting funky. They did everything as cheaply as possible and it shows.
The "healthy breakfast" is oatmeal packets, coffee, and muffins. The staff was nice.

The overall staff are nice and cordial, usually willing to help (when there's someone at the front desk). Guests get to check out kitchenware which includes utensils and even dish washing soap, upon request. Whether public transit commuters or drivers, both the Palomar Sprinter station, nearby bus stops, and the 78 freeway are all within proximity to make for accessible commuting. A nearby shopping center with restaurants, retail and grocery stores also makes meeting needs attainable. Local shops are convenient. Whether the elevator is working or not, the staff and environment always meets the need!

LAST UPDATE: 2/22/25 - THE ELEVATOR IS STILL NOT FIXED [BROKE SINCE 12/25/24] AND NOW ONE OF THE DOORS TO GET TO STAIRS DOESN'T WORK EITHER. OF COURSE IT'S THE ONE CLOSEST FOR ME TO ACCESS MY ROOM. There are 3 other doors, but it's another inconvenience. Oh, and I was told the prices are going up soon. For not having so many standard things available they have the nerve to raise prices [they = corporate] which is so ugly.

Since this is my last update due to leaving for reassignment, I am looking at older reviews and see that some of my problems have been ongoing. I am going to echo those here. I also noticed that after a bad or so-so review there are a slew of great reviews that name drop staff and that made me think it was staff trying to keep the ratings up with fake reviews. It's my theory. Anyway, here are the last things I want people to know.

The walls are paper thin, and you can hear the people next door getting sexytime, getting mad at the kids, cooking, slamming cabinet doors, showering, farting, yelling at the dog etc. You can also hear people talking in the halls or in the rooms you walk by when you are in the hall. The one time I called the desk to complain about loud noises while trying to sleep [like 1am] I was told they can't do anything about it.

The "healthy breakfast" is ONLY oatmeal packets, coffee, and premade mini muffins or cereal bars even if the pics at desk show eggs, juice and yogurt.

They allows pets [extra fees], have tile floor so seems easy cleanup if mess. They have poop bags available in back park lot.

They have EV chargers in back lot, BUT allow anyone to park there, even overnight and often it's the pot smokers hanging out in the parked cars there.

Way too many smokers and they allow them to smoke right outside the hotel doors and the parking lot is littered with so many butts it's gross. They also allow them to smoke WEED everywhere and I have to smell that nasty stuff whenever I go in the hall, the stairwell or out to my car. I seriously believe the weed smokers toke up in the stairwells it reeks so bad.

The power to the room outlets and overhead lights turns off after about 15 minutes if the motion sensor doesn't detect movement. So when you are sleeping, you can hear a click and will notice your phone flash if you are trying to charge it, or if you are trying to read a book at night, the lights will all go out until you can move enough to trigger the sensor. I asked at the front desk if you can turn that off and they said no. I understand it's so that they don't light up a empty room, but it is really annoying. This is why my phone didn't charge properly in the room overnight.

Room has a microwave, fridge, cabinets and sink. However, you have to get any kitchenware from the front desk because the kitchen comes with absolutely nothing by default. BE WARNED, the front desk may not have what your want to use, often they were "out" of a certain dish [no bowls available].

NO basic amenities like coffee machines, or blow dryers in the room. You need to ask for a coffee machine at the front desk.

Every single towel I got had long black hairs in it, the shower curtain had long black hairs on it and the bed cover had long black hairs on it. Everything smelled bleached and it's all white, so it didn't bother me so much, but it was there. I have short light hair, so not mine.

OVERALL - it's just under average, should be way cheaper for what you get. Like not even getting major things like elevator and door fixed quickly when broken is a huge minus. Should have been offered much bigger discounts for multiple inconveniences, not be warned price going up. Most of the staff I interacted with were lovely, some were not. And that is typical of anywhere. IF YOU HATE SMELLING ANY KIND OF CIGARETTE OR WEED SMOKE, go somewhere else, you cannot avoid it here.

ORIGINAL REVIEW HAD TO BE TAKEN OUT DUE TO LENGTH - FOR REFERENCE, ELEVATOR HAS BEEN BROKEN SINCE 12/25/24. WE WERE NOT OFFERED DISCOUNTS, WE HAD TO ASK.

First the check in was great with no issues. However my husband takes a shower & realizes there is no shampoo so I go down to the front desk, no one was there so I asked the janitor who looked for shampoo & finally found it & gave me some. Then later I called & asked about a coffee pot & utensils. They don't bring it to your room so I get dressed & go back downstairs to get a coffee pot but they didn't have cups or plates just two bowls & some silverware. Okay so the next morning the coffee pot doesn't work at all & they didn't have another one. I take a shower & go to blow dry my hair & no hair dryer. Call & she said I had to come down & get it. So I get dressed & go down & get the hair dryer. What a pain in the butt the whole time having to keep going downstairs and don't even have basics in the room. Very disappointed. A positive is that the rooms were clean & are pet friendly, other than that definitely disappointing
