The lobby is beautifully designed and impeccably clean, creating a welcoming first impression. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is highly convenient, situated just off the highway and close to a variety of restaurants and shops. Additionally, the property is only a short 15-minute drive from Monterey, making it an excellent choice for exploring the area.

Stayed from 1-10 to 1-13. Nice “new” hotel (on the outside), but from the elevators, from the hallways to the room, you can see where the corners are being cut….scratched and marked doors in the hallway, dented appliances in the room, dusty and dirty baseboards, no dishwashing liquid at the sink, a toilet that never seemed to stop “filling”, shower so weak that you’re better off rinsing your hair in the kitchen sink, an unpredictable breakfast experience that left very small crowds waiting for refills on the basic food items, and some personnel that seem to look up from their phones as little as possible. Full 3-star experience. The only bright spot is the happy hour, located in the neighboring hotel. A great host (really personable and friendly guy…overworked…should have been at least 2 people!), and the drinks and menu were great! The owner was smart enough to figure out that offering that deal would keep a lot of the foot traffic from both properties, IN his properties…smart move!

Great hotel with excellent service. Perfect location with food and shops across the street and close to the beaches.
Rooms are spacious and breakfast had a lot of options. The gym has a good variety of equipment and the pool and hot tub were a relaxing way to end the day.

While not perfect, as the newest place to stay in town, this Home2Suites should be considered one of the better rated options in Marina. Once more reviews are added, you’ll see it move up the list. It opened earlier this year and is a reasonable choice for most people who are looking for a place to stay in the nearby vicinity. ||Admittedly, the community of Marina is NOT a go-to destination in and of itself. There’s not much to see or do here and I also found the local restaurant scene to be abysmal. Marina is void of any charm and should only be seen only as a springboard for those who plan travel further south. Marina serves primarily as a somewhat lessor priced alternative to the more tourist appealing Monterey & Carmel. (Not everyone has the financial wherewithal to spend $300-$500 per night for a quaint inn or bed and breakfast in Monterey or Carmel). Unfortunately, both of those communities lack newer and nicer chain hotel establishments, and the price point for their older lodging alternatives can be very high.||As for the Home2Suites, I found the place generally acceptable. The August 2024 review posted by CaddieKelly hit all the key discriminating points and I agree with that consensus takeaway. The hotel sits one block from a newer, large retail development that includes a nice Target and REI. There are a few fast casual restaurants at this location as well, but no restaurants of a higher quality. ||A couple of minor items that management could attend to:||The exterior of the window in my guest room was filthy and needed attention. Also, the trash receptacle near the elevator was often full with additional bags sitting adjacent on the ground. Send your Maintenance team around on a greater frequency to attend to this. The whirlpool appears visibly dirty as the painted “under the water” floor/walls need attention, or a re-painting. It was not visibly appealing to users. Sadly, during part of my stay, the swimming pool was closed, with a posted “Out of Order” sign. This should not be occurring at a new place where everything should be in good working order.||Bottom line, the Home2Suites is a decent option if your travels have you in the vicinity for one reason or another. If you can afford premier lodging in Monterey or Carmel, feel free to pass by Marina.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly fast check in, very spacious and comfortable rooms, beds and high quality, soft pillows. Ample laundry. Good fitness center. Good breakfast .Exceeded expectations.

My husband & I stayed at this hotel November 26 for 2 nights. Our stay was very pleasant but we have been dealing with a double billing issue for over 3 weeks now that have left us both beyond frustrated. When checking in we asked for our charges of $539.19 be on our Mastercard rather than Amex card on file but it was put on both cards & posted. The charge on Amex was removed after I called but whoever issued the refund reran the $539.19 charge on Mastercard resulting with 2 posted charges on my credit card that no 1 seems to believe are there even though I have sent emails, screenshots etc. I have spoken with Brianna, Ashley, Patty was told since my folio shows the correct charge they can do nothing. Was also told mgrs name was Tiffany -now I'm being told there is no manager at this hotel. I have disputed the charge with Citibank who agree it is on my account twice but they have not received any response from this hotel. I am so upset over this and therefore warn anyone staying there to really check their credit card statements.

The bed, pillows (both paper thin) and overall comfort of the hotel was absolutely horrible. Couldn’t sleep at all! Would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Way better hotels in the area for cheaper. I thought I was getting a suite. I got a basic oversized room with a suite price tag.

Checked in last night, everyone on that shift and this morning were nice and amazing! Now tonight's shift (9:35pm), front desk lady had no name tag so I didn't catch her name. I came to her to ask if she can find out the guest staying above us to just take it down a notch because it sounded like elephants running back and forth to the point that everything in the kitchen were shaking like there's a damn earthquake. There's time where they would jump and jump and jump. It's getting annoying. I get it, it's not 10pm yet (quiet time). So, all I got from this lady was "how do you know it's the people above you?" Hmmm because I can hear it loud and clear! Also, I know that every hotel has a map or a guide of rooms so she should know what room it is and the fact that your a front desk agent, you should also have the knowledge of what rooms are above. "I'll have my housemen go on 2nd floor and check." Remind you! It's rude to be smacking your gum and talking to a guest at the same time. Her attitude, the empathy, it all sucks. She should be working somewhere else if she has that attitude of not caring about people's complaints. If this doesn't get fixed by 10:15pm, I will check out early and make sure I get refunded. Kuddos to this morning's workers and last nights.
