I arrived at The Inn around 6pm on a Sunday. |I had travelled some of my favorite roads from the bay by motorcycle amounting in around seven hours on the bike. It was a long day, and a low-flying vulture clearing the road earlier in the day made sure I looked worse for the wear. |I pulled around back of the Eagle House to plenty of parking and a secure entrance.|Even though I looked rough, a gash on my nose maybe still bleeding from the aforementioned road-pigeon, Finn greeted me like the whole place had been expecting me, which instantly made me feel at home. What a wonderful host!|Anyway, pros: Awesome building and even better art! Physical keys for your room and the building! Best water pressure I’ve felt in a long time! Near local establishments! My room had plenty of space! Quiet! Lots of little rooms to check and extensions to check out! |Cons: The lots and streets nearby are active with people through the night, so just empty your vehicle just in case. |That’s really it!

Wanted to like it, but...||The building is charming but needs better maintenance and some tasteful updates.||The elevator has a strong musty smell. Our room was small with a tiny bathroom and looked nothing like the photos of "deluxe king" rooms on the booking site. There were scuffs and dings on the paint, the corners of the carpets were dusty, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. The beds in this hotel are creaky — we clearly heard people going at it *vigorously* in the room above ours at 9am!||On the plus side, the location is good, continental breakfast in the lobby was nice, and parking is free.

We only had one night here (in town to tour Cal Poly Humboldt), but loved the spirit of this historic inn! Jessica at the front desk and all the other staff we encountered were warm, welcoming and helpful. The architectural detail - including beautiful ballroom where they were having a line dancing class, the cozy bar, the yoga room were all standouts. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Husband and I went for a last minute weekend trip to Eureka and found this hotel. The place is historic but has so much charm and character! Beds were comfortable and surprisingly quiet bedrooms considering live music was playing downstairs. Staff were friendly, continental breakfast was substantial and coffee was fresh brewed. We would definitely stay here again.

A really lovely historic inn! Stayed here for Valentine's Day and took advantage of a great local special. You can tell a lot of love and effort have gone into restoring this place. The staff are always super helpful, and the whole place feels special. The fresh, quality ground coffee in the room is a great touch.
As some reviews mention, this part of Eureka does have some houseless individuals, with a rescue mission about a block away. This didn’t bother me, but if you prefer to avoid interaction, head north into Old Town, where you’ll find plenty of charming shops and restaurants.

I recently stayed while visiting for a work trip. And the past I have stayed at another local in, but wanted to give the Inn at 2nd and C a try and I’m so glad I did! At check-in, Finn was absolutely lovely. Finn was so friendly and welcoming, Which, as someone who worked in the hotel industry in the past, I really appreciate. Hospitality at a small and unique location means a lot to me, the service sets the Inn apart. My room was very cute, I really enjoyed the decor. I also had a lovely view from my room. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back!
