Macdonald Doña Lola Resort

We had a very enjoyable stay! The whole resort was very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. We had access to a gym and a heated swimming pool, which was a big plus. There is also a tennis court on the resort grounds. Restaurants and shops are available on site, so everything is close and convenient. Another great advantage is the easy access to the sea. The only downside is that parking can be difficult if you arrive late. Overall, I highly recommend this resort!

Such a beautiful location! On the boardwalk, and you can walk for miles. The location and the boardwalk are what sets Dona Lola apart. We stayed a week and came back for a second visit in a different apartment. Also for a week. The apartments vary in quality depending on whether you are staying in a renovated apartment or not, and depending on location. All are well kept though, but they've been here since the 70's or so. Incredible job of upkeep for paths, walkways, pool area etc, even after a big storm went through they were excellent, cleaning up and repairing right afterwards. It's important to point out that all the units are walk ups. Unlike our photo of one of the front units, most units are in buildings with 3 or 4 floors. No elevators, lots of stairs. Difficult for anyone with mobility issues, especially since the resort is built into a hillside. Great internet, satellite TV, with English UK channels and lots of international channels. We enjoyed our stays.

Spacious Apartment with Stunning Views and Excellent Facilities - We stayed in Martha-2, a 2-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor. The apartment was very spacious with excellent views of the Sea. It was beautifully furnished, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all appliances and utensils. The onsite facilities were fantastic - restaurant and club house, laundry, gym, indoor and outdoor pools - all excellent. We always found parking conveniently near our block. The staff were very friendly, and there are some good restaurants and convenience stores right outside the property. The landscaped gardens are lovely, with easy access to the seaside walkway. The location offers very easy access from the motorway and is about 35 minutes to Malaga town centre. Overall, an excellent stay, and we would highly recommend it for families.
