Went to visit a family member over the weekend. Everything was great. We slept well because the bed was firm enough & pillows were just the right fluffiness. We enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is beautiful and clean. The room comes with fully equipped kitchenette. They have a hot tub and pool you can enjoy after a long day. Front desk was helpful and friendly when I checked in. There’s hot breakfast in the morning included with your daily rate. Just an amazing experience staying at this hotel.

I asked the young female front desk agent to put me in a room that was away from road noise and that was quiet. She said the room was in the “perfect spot and is away from noise”. That was definitely not the case! My room was awful because of this, if I didn’t unpack all of my things for the week I would’ve asked to move rooms but it was too late. The management definitely needs to educate their staff when guest ask for this request. The noise from the road was awful, also I absolutely hated that the air would not kick on unless it was at the temperature, at other properties I’m able to use the fan setting as a way to drown out the noise but I wasn’t able to do this at this property. The water would take at least a minute or so to get warm/hot when taking a shower each day I was taking a shower. The internet was pretty slow too, for basic speed I was getting around 10mbps up and down and for the “upgraded” speeds I was getting 18 mbps up and down, definitely one of the slower internet speeds I’ve dealt with at all the Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay here but it was really ruined from the start with the noise. Being at the corner of the hotel that’s closest to the road you would think the young lady at the desk would know better since she was so confident when I asked for a quieter room but I guess not. Stay away from room 403 if you want more quiet because at all hours of the day and night you can hear EVERYTHING from outside.

Great location, very clean rooms & lobby, professional staff. Pool, while small was clean and well keep. Breakfast had everything we wanted. We will, absolutely stay again. Plus’s we used our Bonboy Card to earn extra points. Thank you Marriott Modesto!

When I googled the pet fee, it was $100, which is what I have paid in the past for other Residence Inns and Marriot hotels. I admit that I didn't check the website, and relied on the search results. The Modesto Residence Inn website is kind of a mess: ||"Pet Policy|Pets Welcome|2 pets per room allowed with non-refundable fee of USD $150 per room per stay|Non-Refundable Pet Fee Per Stay: $100.00|Maximum Number of Pets in Room: 2"||By the time I checked in, my room was non-refundable, so I was stuck with the $150 fee, but had I known that the fee had recently increased $50, I would not have booked the room (for 1 night) in the first place.
