this place was a joke. what they advertised on line thru booking.com (not recommend this service) and what they charged me was outrageous. the price per room went from $55 to $70 per night. the picture of the room was totally misleading. there were coach roaches and bugs. the floor was slippery. you could flood the bathroom with water after taking a shower. there were locked gates. homeless people all of the streets. dangerous part of the hood. could not sleep because of the next door guest fighting all night long.

Strange crowd hangs around the hotel. Management has a rather strange way of dealing with situations.
But, I guess for the price, it's worth staying at the Stay 😆

This is the sketchiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We needed a place to stay on our road trip down to SoCal and stayed here based off of the generally good reviews. I don’t recommend it to anyone. The surrounding area feels unsafe and the hotel is outdated and bare, from the outside and inside. The sheets appeared clean and I didn’t find any bugs, but the floor and tub were dirty and you could tell the building was old and crumbling but they just painted over it. There is only one thin sheet on the bed and a blanket in the closet, but we didn’t use that because it was covered in hair and didn’t trust that it was clean, so we froze all night instead. The door had a small gap between it and the frame and the lock wasn’t very secure. The towels smelled unpleasant. There are odd rules such as no visitors after 8 PM and a $5 charge if you leave your key in your room at checkout - it did seem like this place is used as a halfway house for some, like another poster mentioned. I was very excited to get out of there early in the morning. The only positive was that our check-in lady was nice and bilingual (check-out not so much) and they have a gated lot. Please do yourself the favor and do not stay here.

If I am writing this review is to warn people about what to expect if you reserve a room in this place. The lady in the front desk was really nice and found a non smoking room for me. We went to three different rooms and even though they were non-smoking there was still a very strong cigarette smell. It gave me a headache. The location is not the best, and I think I did not feel safe for this reason. They have a gate in the parking lot which helps a little. In general, I did not spend a good night. I would not reserve again.
The rooms seemed very clean, but there was only one blanket.

The rooms are nice, clean.. smell clean as well. The staff is lovely. I like that they close the parking lot gate at night. There's a restaurant right downstairs, a gas station and chicken place across the street. A very short walk to the waterfront, and a library across from here. Also a Starbucks and bank within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Horrible! We checked in and asked if this place was safe at night. All we were told was that at least there was a police station down the road! We checked in and within a hour we decided to get the hell out of there! Bed was hard as nails, it smelt bad and hearing the homeless outside singing, the fridge didn't work, there were no extra outlets for anything, the bathroom was redone at some point, only thing that somewhat looked nice. No complimentary cups or coffee maker, but they did put out 2 ramen noodle cups if you wanted to use them for water? Lamps didn't work, wasn't bright or even close to it as some people mentioned, the area was bad, and they refused to refund any portion of what we paid (minus deposit which the lady said could take 5 days) because their policy is once you check in, you paid for the night, if you leave, you don't get your money back.

For the price it was okay, it could have been better. The room was very clean, but our TV didn't work, and there wasn't a nice thick blanket on the bed, and our shower didn't drain quickly. I think they could use a little bit more of a contemporary update.

Something is always broken and doesn't get fixed until days or even weeks later. Not family friendly. Owners are gender bias. I know a girl who is always 30 minutes at minimum late to work everyday day, no joke and they fired a guy because he couldn't answer the door once. Roaches and rodent problems. Not a safe neighborhood beds bugs aren't a serious issue but they come and go. Police have been called to this location multiple times.
